Research is going great so far!!

My audience besides classmates and my teacher would probably the government?? I am insisting that schools teach beyond abstinence to their young adults staudents. Theres so much information but I feel like I can narrow it down enough and still have so much information to persuade my opinion as well as discuss the other viewpoints which are also important. I feel very strongly about my topic and one of my classmates recently asked me why I picked this for my topic? It got me thinking...I have always wanted the answers to my questions and on this topic the answers can affect your life. My mom has always been very open with me and now there are so many reality shows like Teen mom2 that show a real inside view on what its like to be a teenage mom. I guess I want to help others know as much as they can so they can make their own informed decision before its too late.

There are multiple view points to this topic and I respect them. So much plays into this decision whether it be religion, love, maybe morals, etc. My objective is that no matter what someone decides is right for them they should know how to protect themselves way in adavnce so they can keep their bodies healthy of diseases and unwanted preganaices.

I have always heard it says in the Bible to wait until you are married until sex. I grew up in church and haven't heard any different but knew that not everyone abides by this. Does that mean theyre going to hell?? NO. I decided for one of my sources I would find out exactly what the Bible says about sex and marriage. I referenced my Bible and found that in Thessalonians chapter four, Paul talks about God’s will for us and how he wants us to conduct our lives. He says that we should avoid sexual immortality, that we should control our own bodies, and that we should not take advantage of a brother or sister. Nowhere does it say “Do not have sex before you are married.” It means that we should honor and take care our bodies; not be sleeping around and being irresponsible and that we should live for God. I believe this absolutely; if someone is going to have sex they should have the information on how to protect themselves emotionally and physically and be responsible about it like being in a committed loving relationship and planning on being with them for a while. From a moral standpoint, I can’t think of a better source. God simply wants us to be good people and appreciate the love between a man and a woman as well as our bodies.
